Alex Tzu-Yang Huang is a multidisciplinary artist and knitwear designer from Taiwan, currently based in London. He holds a BA in Fashion Design with Knitwear from Central Saint Martins and an MA in Fashion from the Royal College of Art.

Having lived across Taipei, Shanghai, and London since a young age, Alex’s creative journey is deeply shaped by the experience of cultural transitions and the constant search for a sense of home. His works often revisit memories of childhood and the feeling of displacement, transforming these reflections into tactile narratives woven through material and form.

Alex’s practice lies at the intersection of art, fashion, and interior, creating functional artworks that blur the boundaries between textile, sculpture, and space. Working primarily with natural and found materials, he explores the physical tension and density of fibers through handcraft techniques such as crochet, weaving, and knitting. His works grow intuitively, guided by the behavior of materials and a pursuit of balance, evoking organic movement and vitality.

As both a fiber artist and knitwear designer, Alex transforms threads into sculptural forms that exist as wearable pieces or independent art objects. His creative process celebrates the raw, natural qualities of materials, revealing their intrinsic language and emotional resonance through touch and structure.

黃子揚 Alex Tzu-Yang Huang 來自台灣，現居倫敦的跨領域藝術家與針織設計師。畢業於英國皇家藝術學院時尚設計碩士，及英國中央聖馬丁藝術與設計學院時尚設計（針織）學士。

從小生活於台北、上海與倫敦之間，Alex 的創作深受文化遷移與身分轉換的影響。他在不斷遷徙的過程中，持續思考「家」與「歸屬」的意義，並將童年的記憶、文化差異與環境的變化轉化為纖維與形體之間的敘事，尋找情感與材料之間的連結。

他的創作橫跨藝術、時尚與空間設計，致力於創造兼具功能性與雕塑性的纖維藝術作品，模糊了服裝、雕塑與空間的界線。Alex 多以天然與拾得材料為媒介，透過鉤針、編織與針織等手工技法，探索纖維的張力、密度與結構之間的平衡，讓作品自然生長，展現有機的流動感與生命力。

作為纖維藝術家與針織設計師，Alex 將線與紗轉化為可穿戴的作品，或獨立存在的雕塑物件。他的創作過程讚頌材料的原始質地，藉由觸感與結構揭示材料自身的語言與情感共鳴。

Alex 的作品曾刊登於 British Vogue、Dazed、Grazia、Wonderland、Luncheon Magazine、PAP Magazine 等多家國際媒體。
