This project delves into the exploration of the human body, examining its physical and intangible aspects such as rhythm, softness, and elasticity. Drawing inspiration from the Polyvagal Theory by Stephen Porges, which explains how our perception of safety or threat affects our behavior, the project aims to understand and translate this theory into knitting. By utilizing Raffia, I create knitted and woven auras that envelop the body, reflecting the theory's concepts. Additionally, in my personal experience, finding solace and enjoyment in the Rave culture, despite experiencing anxiety and tension, has been a significant influence on the project. Rave culture represents a convergence of multiple senses—visuals, sounds, and touch—and fosters a strong connection between performers and the audience within a confined space. The project aims to incorporate people's own sensory space into the exhibited works, integrating music, dance, lighting, and other elements. Traditional manual techniques will be employed to create a digital sensory world, resulting in a unique artistic experience.

My collection draws inspiration from my mandatory military experience in Taiwan, offering a unique perspective on personal narratives through the medium of clothing. Reflecting upon the structured life and regulations within the army, I have crafted a collection that pays homage to key elements such as camouflage, haircuts, body armors, helmets, and uniforms. In mirroring the wartime practice of using hay and grass for camouflage, my collection employs raffia to recreate a similar effect, adding an artistic touch to the garments.
